✓ In stock
This upgraded system combines SubC’s industry-leading Rayfin camera with advanced programmable software for unparalleled control over timelapse captures, lighting, and deployment-specific configurations. Designed for versatility to support both short-term surveys and long-term operations across battery-deployed setups such as drop frames, baited or unbaited landers, BRUV systems, and AUVs.
Available as a standalone camera or integrated system with LEDs, lasers and batteries to suit your budget and deployment requirements.
Key features:
-
The intuitive visual script builder streamlines setup for custom timelapse captures, event-based triggers, and advanced scripting. With a user-friendly interface, you can easily program intervals, lighting, and sensor responses for precise, autonomous operations.
-
Automatically log date, time, and sensor data with embedded metadata. Customize file structures for organized data, plus fast, secure downloads with simplified video and image review.
-
Optional Hibernation Mode maximizes battery life, enabling continuous monitoring over months or years. The system conserves power between captures, ensuring reliable, long-term performance for extended underwater deployments.
Operational Confidence
Real-time status indicators and optional biofouling control ensure the camera is ready for deployment and operates reliably in various underwater environments, minimizing unexpected failures.
Superior Data Quality
Customizable white balance, focus, and exposure settings for optimal image quality. Available lighting and laser enhance image clarity, even in low light or deep-sea conditions.
Flexible Deployment for Any Depth
Compatible with various set-ups like drop frames, landers, and AUVs, the system offers camera options with depth ratings from 500m - 6000m (11,000m coming soon).

Optional High-Efficiency Lights, Lasers, and Biofouling Control
High-efficiency subsea LEDs can operate as a lamp and strobe.
Activation time is tightly synchronized with the camera sensor exposure time (within 250 nanoseconds) to ensure the video stream is uninterrupted while collecting photos
Lifespan (MTBF) of at least 40,000 hours
Lightweight, easily integrated, and accurate to 5m distance
Available in various patterns and beam angles, including parallel, solid line beam, or dotted grid pattern
FDA-compliant and qualified for shipping in the United States, Canada, and Internationally
Biofouling Control
To prevent the buildup of marine organisms and ensure consistent image quality during long-duration deployments:
Wipers for shallow-water deployments (<200m), clearing debris and organisms from the lens.
UV Solutions for deep-water deployments (>200m), preventing biofouling by disrupting the growth of marine organisms on the lens.
Applications
Marine Biodiversity & Ecosystem Studies
Long-Term Environmental Surveys
Offshore & Subsea Asset Monitoring
Scientific Research in Remote Locations
Aquaculture, Fish Farm, and Fisheries Monitoring

用於DFO拉布拉多海疆區研究的子C自主相機解決方案
SubC 成像公司與加拿大漁業和海洋部 (DFO) 合作的歷史悠久。
Our friends at Marine Institute gathered 258 hours of footage as part of their research to estimate the local densities of the Greenland Shark in deep-water, data-poor regions of interest for fisheries development and marine conservation in Nunavut, Canada.
“It’s the only off-the-shelf system I’ve come across that combines very high quality timelapse imaging with a hibernation mode…it’s made a huge difference in how we study ecosystems through time and has given us insights we couldn’t get any other way.”
— Dr. Todd Bond, Deputy Director, Minderoo-UWA Deep-Sea Research Centre
